Police probe armed robbery at Ossett Sainsbury's

Three men, one armed with a handgun, have stolen cash and cigarettes from a West Yorkshire Sainsbury's store.

The raid, on South Parade, Ossett, happened at about 22:30 GMT on Friday when three men wearing hooded tops entered the shop and threatened staff.

No-one was injured, but staff had been left "very distressed", said police.

One suspect was about 6ft (1.8m) tall, of medium build, wearing black tights over his face and glasses. Another is said to have worn dark clothing.

No description of the third suspect was available, said police.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police.
