Jobs fear at Interfaceflor's Shelf carpet tile factory
Up to 115 jobs could go at a carpet tile manufacturer's West Yorkshire site, after Interfaceflor announced plans to close one of its factories.
The firm, based in Shelf near Halifax, said its UK headquarters located on the same site would not close.
Production would move to the firm's other European manufacturing sites in Northern Ireland and The Netherlands.
The site currently has 204 staff, with manufacturing operatives and office support posts at risk.
The company said the move could save it £4m per year, and added there would be redeployment opportunities for some staff.
Lindsey Parnell, President of Interfaceflor in Europe, said: "Our recent investment in state-of-the-art production technology has considerably increased our capacity but unfortunately the market has not grown to the same degree."
