Teenager 'stable' after Huddersfield rock face fall

A teenage boy left with severe spinal injuries after falling down a rock face in Huddersfield is in a stable condition in hospital.

The 14-year-old boy was found stranded on the 100ft (30.4m) high cliff face at Lindley at about 21:00 BST on Saturday.

He had fallen about 40ft and a search and rescue helicopter from RAF Leconfield in East Yorkshire was called to rescue him.

The teenager is being treated at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
