Trinity Leeds shopping centre to open in March
A £350m retail development in Leeds is to open in the city centre in March, the developer has announced.
Trinity Leeds will be a 1,000,000 sq ft (92,900 sq m) centre and will have 120 shops and restaurants bordered by Briggate, Albion Street and Boar Lane.
The centre includes "anchor" stores for Primark, Marks and Spencer, Next, Topshop, and a cinema, developer Land Securities said.
It estimates the completed centre will employ about 4,000 people.
Work restarted on Trinity Leeds in 2010 after construction was put on hold for 16 months because of the recession.
Land Securities said Leeds had a resident catchment of more than 5.6 million people and an estimated 23 million visits would be made to the centre in its first year.
