Wonky the abandoned dog is helped by physiotherapy
An abandoned dog with a rare condition that causes walking problems has received physiotherapy to straighten its legs.
The 10-week-old female Staffordshire bull terrier cross, now called Wonky, is recovering at Leeds Dogs Trust after being abandoned in Bradford.
Her front feet bend inwards because her tendons are too short.
Amanda Sands, of the trust, said: "With love and care her legs will improve and she will get a new lease of life."
Wonky is showing signs of improvement after receiving physiotherapy 30 times a day.
She arrived at the centre on 7 February after being found abandoned in a box.
Wonky suffers from knuckling of the carpal joints, said the trust.
Ms Sands, manager of the trust, said: "She's had a very tough start in life.
"She will need regular trips to the specialist vet to keep a track of her progress."
