Wakefield stabbing: Man charged with attempted murder

A 27-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a 28-year-old woman was stabbed in Wakefield.

The victim was stabbed at an address on Denhale Avenue at about 18:30 GMT on 27 December, police said.

She was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with stab wounds which police said were not life-threatening.

Nicholas Robinson, of Denhale Avenue, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Wakefield Magistrates' Court on Monday.
