A man has appeared in court accused of causing thousands of pounds of damage at a West Yorkshire tip.

Trevor Lewis, 59, of Mayroyd Moorings in Hebden Bridge, appeared before Calderdale magistrates charged with causing criminal damage.

Eastwood Recycling Centre on Halifax Road in Todmorden was damaged on 19 July.

Mr Lewis, employed by site operators SITA, was granted unconditional bail.
