Calderdale 'neglect' school staff to stand trial

Two school staff have appeared in court to plead not guilty to child neglect.

Rachel Regan, 43, and Deborah McDonald, 41, are alleged to have wilfully ill-treated a child in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering.

The offence is said to have occurred at a school in the Calderdale area between September 2012 and January 2014.

Ms Regan, from Illingworth, and Ms McDonald, from Halifax, were bailed ahead of their trial at Bradford Crown Court on 24 November.
