Drivers warned of closures on M62 in West Yorkshire
Sections of a major motorway in West Yorkshire will be closed each evening during October as traffic flow sensors and CCTV cameras are installed.
The M62 motorway between junctions 30 near Oulton and 32 at Castleford will be shut overnight until 30 October.
Highways Agency officials said the sensors would be embedded in the road surface and fed to a control room.
Agency officials said it would enable the right messages to be put on overhead signs warning of delays.
Highways Agency project manager Tom Howard said: "This work will allow us to monitor traffic and help provide more information to drivers along this stretch of the M62.
"All the work will take place overnight between 20:00 and 06:00, with no work scheduled to take place on Sunday evenings.
"During these planned closures clearly signed diversion routes will be in place."
