Police have issued pictures of the last known movements of a woman who has not been seen since leaving a Leeds hospital.

Carly Smith, 33, from Dewsbury, was last seen at St James's Hospital on 31 December.

West Yorkshire Police said officers were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

The CCTV footage shows her leaving the hospital grounds at 19:21 GMT and heading towards Harehills Road.

Ms Smith is described as white, about 5ft 1in (155cm) tall and of medium build.

She has dark collar length hair and was last seen wearing a white and grey speckled puffy coat, khaki leggings and dark shoes.

Det Ch Insp Steve Snow of West Yorkshire Police, said: "Carly had been due to meet her partner on New Year's Day but failed to arrive and it is out of character for her to be out of contact.

"We are continuing enquiries to find her both in Leeds and in her home town of Dewsbury."
