Leeds machete attack: Boy, 17, charged with wounding

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with wounding with intent after a teenage girl was seriously injured in a machete attack in Leeds.

He is due to appear at the city's youth court later.

The 16-year-old girl suffered head injuries in the incident in Lingfield Drive, Moortown, on Monday night. She remains in Leeds General Infirmary.

Two other males, aged 17 and 20, and a 15-year-old girl who were arrested remain on police bail.
