Man, 21, arrested over Harehills shooting

A 21-year-old man has been arrested over a shooting in Leeds that left a man dead.

Shuel Ali Hussain, 33, was killed by a bullet to the stomach on Markham Avenue in Harehills on 9 March.

Six men have already appeared in court charged with conspiracy to murder and drugs offences in connection with the attack.

The 21-year-old is currently being questioned by detectives and remains in custody.

Mr Hussain, from Harehills, was parked in his silver Vauxhall Astra on Pasture Road when he was shot.

He made his way to a supermarket on nearby Markham Avenue but died later in hospital.
