Police name three people killed in a house fire in Leeds

Police have named the three people who were killed in a house fire in Leeds.

Joanne Marie Semple, 36, Kelly Taylor-Hackett, 28, and Stephen Fitzgerald, 18 all lived at the property in East Park Street, East End Park.

Police believe the fire started in the living room of the house on Friday night. The deaths are being treated as "unexplained".

Emergency services discovered the bodies after being called to the house on Sunday lunchtime.

Det Ch Insp Ian Scott said inquiries were continuing "to establish the full circumstances surrounding their deaths".

"Clearly the deaths of three people in such sudden and tragic circumstances have left their families devastated and our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time."
