A man's body discovered on a canal towpath in West Yorkshire has been formally identified by police.

Polish national Marcin Siarczylski, 37, was discovered near Low Mill Lane in Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, on 14 March.

Police, who launched an appeal to identify him last month, said the death was still being treated as unexplained.

Officers have appealed for information about "Mr Siarczylski's general lifestyle or movements prior to his death".

"We are keen to hear from any friends, colleagues or associates of Mr Siarczlyski who may be able to help us paint a picture of his lifestyle as we continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to his death."
