Up to 10 people were seen running away from a property in Leeds where a man was fatally injured, police said.

Clifford Amoh, 29, was attacked at his home in Coldcotes Crescent, Gipton, in the early hours of Saturday.

He was taken to hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later. A post-mortem examination found Mr Amoh died from a head injury.

Police have been granted further time to question a 22-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman.

Both were held on suspicion of murder.

West Yorkshire Police said Mr Amoh, known by many as "Papi", was clearly "popular", as they responded to comments left on social media and the number of people bringing flowers to the scene.

Det Ch Insp Nicola Bryar said: "Witnesses report seeing between six and 10 people running from the address and we believe there will be people out there who will know who was involved.

"Those individuals were mainly believed to be black males, although one was described as white."
