Man seriously hurt in Huddersfield dog attack

A man has been attacked by a dog in West Yorkshire, leaving him with serious injuries.

The victim, in his 50s, suffered bites to his body on Riddings Road in the Sheepridge area of Huddersfield at about 09:45 BST.

The dog was found in a nearby garden and the man was taken to hospital.

A man believed to be the dog's owner has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
