String of indecent exposures in Victoria Park

Police have stepped up patrols in a Leicester park after a string of indecent exposures.

Five women have complained about a man, wearing a woolly hat and earmuffs, exposing himself in Victoria Park.

All but one of the incidents - in June, July and August - took place before 0900 BST, so women using the park at this time are being urged to be on their guard.

The man is described as white, between 30 and 45, and of very large build.

He is about 5ft 8in (1.7m) tall and has an "unkempt appearance". He was wearing a grey T-shirt and jeans.

Pc Harvey Watson, of Leicestershire Police, said: "We are well aware that students who live in the area are due back in the next couple of weeks and we hope that they will take care when walking through the area."

No-one was injured during any of the incidents.
