Views sought on transport schemes for Leicester
Residents in Leicester are being invited to have their say on new transport schemes for the city.
Leicester City Council is in the process of drawing up the next stage of its Local Transport Plan and has begun a public consultation.
It is looking at how best to improve traffic and transport over the next 15 years, as well as addressing congestion and pollution.
Households will have the opportunity to give their views in a questionnaire.
The Local Transport Plan aims to cut congestion and reduce journey times, cut carbon emissions and to better maintain the city's transport networks.
Leicester City Council's cabinet member for transport and regeneration, Councillor Abdul Osman, said: "It is very important that we make the right decisions about the future of local transport, so we want people to contribute to this and let us know what they feel are the main issues.
People will have until 5 January to make their views known.
