Leicestershire police seek serial fuel thief

Police in Leicestershire have appealed for help in tracing a man who has stolen petrol from a number of filling stations in the area.

The man has targeted petrol stations in Coalville, Groby, Thurcaston, Leicester and Queniborough since the start of January.

Police said the driver of the white Citroen van had used the false number plates NV54 WLP and YY06 BND.

Anyone with any information about the thefts is advised to contact police.

Pc Wesley Nelson of Leicestershire Police said: "I am appealing to anyone who has seen a similar vehicle, displaying either of these number plates, being driven or parked, to contact the police."
