Work to improve Leicester's business centre

A £750,000 refurbishment of Leicester Business Centre is due to begin.

The work will see the creation of new communal and exhibition areas, conference and training facilities, a cafe and a new entrance and reception.

It is hoped that the project will improve networking opportunities and support services.

Once complete, the centre will have 57 office units of various sizes to accommodate small and growing businesses.

Work at the building, on Ross Walk, will begin on 28 March and is expected to be completed in about six months.

Funding for the refurbishment comes from the European Regional Development Fund (£470,400) and the Working Neighbourhoods Fund (£279,600), according to the city council.
