Man, 18, charged over jewellery robbery in Leicester

Police investigating a jewellery robbery in Leicester have charged an 18-year-old man.

Four men broke into a jewellers close to Dorset Street on 29 January, smashed the glass display cabinets and stole £6,000 worth of gold jewellery.

The 18-year-old, from Birmingham, has been charged with robbery and will appear before magistrates later.

Three other men, aged 18, 21 and 24, were arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
