Demolition work due to start on arson pub in Leicester

Demolition work was due to get under way on a Leicester pub destroyed in an arson attack.

The Invincible in Sturdee Road, Eyres Monsell, was wrecked in a fire last month several years after it was closed down.

Many local residents had complained about the derelict building.

People living on the estate now are hoping the land freed up can be used for redevelopment, possibly including a new shopping centre.
