Three arrests over jewellery raids in Leicester

Police investigating a spate of robberies at Leicester jewellery shops have arrested three men.

The men, aged 18, 19 and 21, were arrested in connection with robberies at shops in Belgrave Road and Melton Road.

The raids took place on 1 January, 29 January and 29 March, with thousands of pounds worth of gold items taken.

The arrested men, who are all from the west Midlands, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
