Police appeal after fatal Leicestershire crash

A female motorist has died in hospital five weeks after a crash in Leicestershire.

Lesley Harris, 59, of Castle Donington was injured in Lockingon on 25 April, but died on 30 May.

The crash happened on the A50 near the junction with Church Street when a blue Ford Fiesta driven by Mrs Harris collided with a silver Peugeot.

Mrs Harris, who was seriously injured, was taken to Derby Royal Infirmary where she later died.

The driver of the other car was treated for minor injuries and later released.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
