Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a former Leicestershire police officer.

The body of Paul Fyfe, 47, was found at a house in Balderstone Close, Leicester, on 10 June.

Mohammed Adam Hirsi, 24, of Spinney Hills, and Ameen Hassan Jogee, 22, of no fixed address, appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court charged with murder.

The two were remanded in custody and are due to appear for a plea hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on 19 September.
