Biker killed in A606 Somerby crash is named

Police have identified a motorcyclist who died following a collision with a car on the A606 in Leicestershire.

He was 59-year-old Ross Jackson, of Stamford, Lincolnshire.

His Yamaha Fazer bike collided with a Skoda car just before midday on 15 June, on the A606 Oakham Road in Somerby.

Mr Jackson received serious injuries and was taken to the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire where he later died.

The driver of the Skoda received minor injuries and was treated in hospital. He has since been discharged.
