Child dies in hospital following road crash
A child has died in hospital following a car crash in Rutland.
Driver Yasar Mushtaq, 33, from Peterborough, died at the scene when his car collided with two lorries on the A47 near Morcott on Thursday.
The child, who has not yet been identified, died at Birmingham Children's Hospital on Saturday.
Two other children who were travelling in the BMW were also injured. One remains stable in hospital, the other has now been released.
Neither lorry drivers was hurt. Det Con David Sharpe, from Leicestershire Police, said: "I would urge anyone who was travelling along this stretch of road to contact me if they witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles beforehand.
"The smallest detail could help with our inquiries."
