Masked intruders raid farmhouse near Countesthorpe
A 70-year-old man was injured as he was hit with a crowbar during a burglary at a Leicestershire farm.
Three men wearing balaclavas got into a house off Foston Lane, near Countesthorpe, and demanded money from the man and a 68-year-old woman.
They then hit the man with the crowbar leaving him with arm and facial injuries.
Ten rifles and five shotguns were stolen along with two vehicles and cash during the incident on Thursday night.
Police said they had recovered the firing actions from the rifles.
Det Insp Simon Cure, from Leicestershire Police, said: "The victims in this incident are licensed firearms holders and the weapons were locked away before they were taken.
"Obviously, this has been incredibly distressing for both the victims and I am keen to hear from members of the public who may be able to help us with our inquiries and catch those responsible."
