Man charged with wounding after Leicester attack

A man has been charged with wounding after a man was injured in an attack in Leicester.

A 36-year-old man suffered serious hand injuries after being assaulted outside the Fountain public house on Humberstone Gate on Sunday night.

Leicestershire Police said he had undergone surgery and remained in hospital.

A 28-year-old man was charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
