Transporter crash driver named as Leicester man

A man who died when the car transporter he was driving crashed on a Leicestershire road has been named.

The Mercedes Sprinter came off Laughton Road in Lubenham on Sunday evening and Carl Gary Pardon, 38, of Leicester, was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police said the cause of the crash was still being investigated but no other vehicles were involved.

Officers have appealed for anyone who saw the crash, or the vehicle on the road earlier, to get in touch.
