Hunt for phone after Ashby crash death

Police want to trace a mobile phone owned by a pedestrian killed in a collision in Leicestershire.

Leighton Steven Hollins, 29, had been out with friends in Ashby town centre shortly before the crash, which happened at 03:24 GMT on Saturday.

The iPhone had a distinctive white clip-on cover bearing the St George's Cross, police said.

The 46-year-old driver of the car which hit Mr Hollins, who received minor injuries, was arrested and bailed.

Officers said the phone could have gone missing when Mr Hollins walked from Ashby town centre to the A511 bypass.
