A woman and four children escape fire in Leicester

A woman and four children have been rescued from a fire at a house in Leicester.

The fire started on the ground floor of the property in Webster Road, Braunstone, at about 07:25 GMT on Sunday.

Neighbours used their own ladder to help the family escape.

Two crews attended the fire and the family were given first aid at the scene. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
