Two people have been jailed for 22 years each for the murder of a man whose body was found dismembered in a garden.

Mark Postles, 47, and Margaret Heeley, 56, from both of Flamborough Road, Leicester, were convicted on Friday of killing 49-year-old John Cogan.

Nottingham Crown Court jury heard how the pair had stabbed Mr Cogan after an argument.

Postles and Heeley had been drinking heavily before the attack.

After assaulting Mr Cogan, the pair dismembered his body and tried to conceal it in the back garden of Postles' house, Leicestershire Police said.

The body of Mr Cogan, also of Flamborough Road, was found shortly after 21:00 GMT on 24 March last year after Heeley called police claiming to have killed him.
