Fourth man arrested over Leicester bookmaker robberies

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with three robberies at bookmakers in Leicester.

Police said shops in Charles Street, Melton Road and Melbourne Road were robbed and staff threatened with what is thought to have been hammers.

Three men have been arrested, aged 23, 24 and 29, two of whom are in police custody.

A 33-year-old man also arrested remains in custody. A 32-year-old woman has been charged with robbery.

She will appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on 13 March.
