Leicestershire projects urged to bid for £320,000 funds
People are being asked to vote on what community projects should receive a share of £320,000 funding from Leicestershire County Council.
The authority wants people to suggest ideas and take part in their local community forum's budget decision night and vote for their favourite projects.
In 2011, 139 schemes, ranging from playgrounds to support for vulnerable people, received the funding.
There are 25 community forums across Leicestershire.
Deputy county council leader, Nick Rushton, said: "We've made these funds available so that communities can decide for themselves which projects receive support.
"We're keen to support projects where residents volunteer their time, energy and skills to improve their local communities."
