A man charged in connection with a break-in at a farm in Leicestershire in which two other burglars were shot has pleaded guilty.

Orville Williams, 32, of Edgehill Road, Leicester, admitted burgling a cottage in Welby, near Melton, at the city's crown court on Monday.

Two other men, Joshua O'Gorman and Daniel Mansell, who were shot by householder Andy Ferrie, were both jailed last year.

Williams will be sentenced on 10 May.

Mr Ferrie opened fire on O'Gorman and Mansell when he and his wife Tracey found them in the kitchen of their cottage on 2 September.

No legal action was taken against Mr and Mrs Ferrie.
