Susan Spiby dies in Castle Donington motorbike crash

A woman killed in a motorbike crash has been named by police as Susan Spiby from Leicestershire.

The 48-year-old, from Castle Donington, was a pillion passenger on the Kawasaki ZX600 motorcycle when it crashed in Hill Top in the village, close to the border with Derbyshire.

The rider was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he remains in a critical condition, police said.

Accident investigators are appealing for witnesses.

Det Con Pete Davies said: "The motorbike was travelling from the direction of Castle Donington towards the A453 at the time of the incident.

"We would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed it or saw the vehicle prior to the incident to contact us."
