Leicestershire cyclist dies after Christmas Eve collision with car

Witnesses are being sought after a cyclist was killed in a collision with a car on Christmas Eve.

Emergency services were called to the A444 at the junction with Atterton Road, in Leicestershire, close to Atherstone in Warwickshire, at about 12:00 GMT on Tuesday.

The 72-year-old, who collided with a grey Kia Venga, died at the scene.

Det Con Paul Bingham is appealing to anyone who saw the crash, the car or the bicycle to get in touch.
