Shots fired in Leicester street: Three arrested

Two women and a man have been arrested after shots were fired at a house in Leicester, police have said.

Armed police were called to the Highfields area of the city on Friday after bullets smashed a window in Saxby Street.

The women, aged 20 and 22, and a 23-year-old man have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Leicestershire Police cordoned off the area for more than 10 hours for forensic tests.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything, or saw anyone acting suspiciously, to contact them.
