Boy, 11, seriously hurt as cars collide in Loughborough

An 11-year-old boy has suffered "potentially life-threatening" injuries in a crash involving two vehicles in Loughborough.

Police said the boy was walking near the crash scene and was hit as the cars collided Warwick Way.

The crash happened at shortly before 16:30 BST, close to the Braddon Road junction.

The boy was airlifted to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he is in a serious condition.
