Murder charge follows Leicester incident in 2003

A man has appeared in court charged with murder following an incident in Leicester 11 years ago.
Police said Ivan Barrs, 45, who was seriously injured in Northampton Street in 2003, died in hospital in March this year.
Paul Albert Smith, 28, was remanded in custody by Leicester magistrates and committed to the city's crown court for a later hearing.
An inquest into Mr Barrs' death will resume in October.
