Murder charge over fatal Shepshed stab attack

A man has been charged with murdering a 67-year-old woman who was found stabbed at a house in Leicestershire.

The woman's body was found by officers who forced their way into a house in Rockingham Close, Shepshed, early on Saturday.

A 33-year-old woman was also found injured at the house.

A man, 36, from Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, has been charged with murdering the older woman and the attempted murder of the younger woman.

He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Monday.
