Melton Mowbray 2013 crash death: Man charged

A man has been charged with killing a pedestrian in a crash while under the influence of drugs.

Brian Sheldon, 79, died after he was hit by a car on Saxby Road, Melton Mowbray, on 15 November 2013.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with causing death by careless driving while impaired through drugs. He is due to appear at Loughborough Magistrates' Court on 18 February.

After the crash Mr Sheldon was taken to hospital in Nottingham where he died.
