Leicester stabbing leaves boy, 15, in critical condition

A 15-year-old boy remains in a critical condition after he was stabbed during a "serious assault".

The victim was attacked by one of three men on Larch Street, near Uppingham Road, Leicester, on Sunday night.

His 17-year-old friend suffered a knife wound to the face after he intervened. He has since been discharged from hospital after treatment.

Police said they were conducting inquiries in the area and appealed for witnesses for come forward.
