Desford late-night car crash teenager named

A teenager who died in a single-vehicle crash at the weekend has been named by police.

Daniel Whitehead, 19, from Countesthorpe in Leicestershire, died in the early hours of Sunday morning at the scene of the collision in Desford.

Three passengers in the Ford Focus he was driving were treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or saw the vehicle in the moments before, to contact them.
