Man arrested over Lincoln City Hall damage
A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident at City Hall in Lincoln.
The City of Lincoln Council said part of the building was significantly damaged on Friday afternoon.
A man, 28, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. Police said an axe was recovered from the scene.
A council spokesperson said part of the building, which deals with benefits and housing services, had to be closed off.
The authority said it hoped to rebuild the damaged part of the building as soon as possible.
