Driver admits causing fatal crash in Toft

An 18-year-old man has admitted causing the death of another driver in a three-car crash in Lincolnshire.

Jack Hutchinson was arrested after the crash on the A6121 Stamford Road at Toft last May, in which 68-year-old Terrence Wheeler was seriously injured.

Mr Wheeler, from Kettering in Northamptonshire, died in hospital.

Hutchinson, of Swallow Hill, Thurlby, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving at Lincoln Crown Court.

He will be sentenced on 1 April.

Hutchinson was granted bail, but was given an interim driving ban until he next appears in court.
