Thieves steal valuable kit from Spalding fire station

Thieves forced their way into a Lincolnshire fire station and stole valuable cutting equipment.

The offenders broke into Spalding Fire Station, in West Elloe Avenue, some time between 2100 BST on Monday and 0645 BST on Tuesday.

Equipment stolen from one of the fire engines included Holmatro generators, a cutter, spreader, telescopic arm and hose.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "The stolen items were high value, life-saving pieces of equipment and we would urge anyone who knows anything about this burglary to contact us."
