Thieves steal wine from Louth distribution centre

Thieves have stolen a large collection of wine worth thousands of pounds from a distribution centre in Lincolnshire.

The theft from two warehouses, on Manby Road, at Legbourne, near Louth, was discovered on Monday morning.

Police said the offenders had disabled the alarm, forced the metal shutter doors at the two premises and used a forklift truck to remove the wine.

Anyone who has any information about the theft is urged to contact Lincolnshire Police.

A grey Renault Master panel van was stolen from the site at the same time and it is thought it may have been used to transport the stolen wine away, said police.
