Fire at burgled house in Gayton Le Wold 'was arson'

A fire which broke out at a house in Lincolnshire is being treated as having been started on purpose.

It started at the property at Gayton Top, Gayton Le Wold, between 2130 BST and 2330 BST on Saturday. Nobody was in the house at the time.

Police said a burglary had also taken place there before the fire started, possibly during the previous weekend.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact them.
